image factory dance video

This was a true test of my absolute patience when it came to rendering

reflections

firstly if i could i would go right back and correct all the camera settings during the workshop so that there is no noise and all camera settings where near identical because upon editing the film i had problems due to different ways the films were rendered be it interlaced or progressive this gave me a lot of pain and torment trying to export without having tones of artefacts destroying the image.

secondly if i could have talked to the performers more then i could have created a more in-depth narrative within post.

things that went well was the learning of using premier pro, i only ever used premier elements and upon seeing pro it was to be honest a wee bit intimidating, but i quickly learnt how to run around the workspace and able to edit.

also having everyones rushes was good cos you could see what other people have done and which way they looked at the brief which may of added more style into my own piece.

my work was majority made from the rushes of group d (my own group) which i filmed with all slow motion was shot by group e, both groups worked together to film which gave us extra time and footage to use.

the major effects i used were colour grading the actual dance to help symbolise distress and struggle as the dance was supposed to be about the me journey of life. this also helped create difference and separation between the routine and the rehearsal.

a big thank you to the two dancers for being a pleasure to work with and everyone else for amazing rushes and ideas that came from them

blogging - assessment

well i panicked like major but i managed to hide it (kinda) god bless yurok for standing with me

i think i literally need to break past that wall and write more about my own pictures, i have trouble on making an image then writing about it, also it was stated that a good idea might be making a few inspiration posts on a specific theme which i think, i will try to maintain

so all in all more development and written ideas basically with alot of reflections on my work

mcm october 2014

on sunday i ventured into london dressed in victorian goth (normal clothes) armed with only my wit, £60 and my camera to take part in the largest nerd feast and celibration of all things geeky and im proud i joined in, the cosplay (costume- play) was spectacular as always and i think i seen one to  many guys dressing up as female charecters in short short pvc shorts but moving swiftly onwards, me and my other half braved the storm of people and here are a few photos

gig in Basingstoke - filming Sincerly, Yours

On Saturday i had to go film a music video of a mates band, although the event was pretty cool and i did feel quite professional i must say there where a few problems firstly i was told that i would have to stay behind and take pictures of the other bands for free as payment for my mate's ban boring their equipment but oh well i didn't i had to leave

but now i go to the filming problems the low light made it difficult and the film is riddled with noise however i got some quite usable footage which is great however i still need the lead song that im men t to use to put over the video for their music video. which is difficult almost like getting blood out of a stone but as a learning experience of working with music it is great.

a look back

a compilation of some of the images i have created in the last week, Looking at how everything is going is quite intresting keeping these to look back on

well im sure the quote is wrong however the point is that, the styles i am learning and adapting experiment and creating are helping me learn new techniques and reasons why they are done, 

the only thing i can do is hope that i take what i learnt today and apply it to tomorrow and then repeat

how i became the sarcastic kliner schize that i am

where was this guy when i first got on the internet, no where thats where, At the tender age of 13/14 is when i first got onto the interwebs (noun- cool name for the internet), although not as cool as the sound of the ps1 to me but never the less the internet has set its claw's into the pure (if you can call it that) mind.

needless to say the internet well ....

my first memories was being shown videos on a little website call youtube (you might have heard about it) needless to say it has shaped my humor and well that mix with my own familys dark hummor didn't help 

for instance when you see this

i then sat and watched every episode and still do

tech support which surprisingly enough i need as i make this blog post

and squirrel songs which taught me such a colourful language

then there where things that i was shown which were funny and then some were really creepy for instance 

also my first laptop died at the hands of the internet seeing as it was the only computer that limewire would work on .... my sister had so much fun on limewire so much and each file would be cleaned before going onto her laptop, mine became virus infected husk of a machine

portrait project testers

the idea of the project is to communicate the ideas of self through a portrait , my idea is to present the idea of sub culture that people use to identify them selfs but the repercussions that it has by society in particularly the gothic sub culture due to how society creates false representations in the media and that cause many people to feel outcasted and act like a pariah in our so called muti cultural society that shuns those who would like to show individuality with their sense of self that they feel comfortable in.

the idea in the images is was to create a feeling of otherness around the subject, the motion blur of the people around her to represent how she is not like them, they are alien to each other, the lack of colour was also used to project the emotion that loneliness can give its occupier, as if all the colour had been sucked out of life as if because of the subjects choice in ideologies and fashion she no longer is accepted by society.

So i have met alot of cool people on my course which is has been good and helps quickly settle in, here is some schinanigans

everyone looks so excited

 but yes I'm in a class of about 16 and its all alot of fun everyone is laid back and happy to throw advice, criticism and ideas in any given direction (sometimes with out warning)

uni things

whilst at the UCA (university for the creative arts) lots of things and opinions have stayed the same like i don't like getting up and how i hate buses but things changed like i now have a new found hatred for rush hour, peak times and morning trains.



the area where the uca is is absolutely stunning, if you can imagine a small little market town famous for art with lots of pubs and cobbled streets thats what it pretty much is

well isn't that pretty

filming and using the cameras is always fun and hopefully there is more to come

however its not all filming, sometimes we have to write things on paper 

we should of made ours prettier 

but all i know is i really look like a zombie in the morning.
