Research

Rupert Frere - Army Photographer

Film
Ambulance - BBC documentary - available at bbc iplayer ambulance

"Insight into the London Ambulance Service, from the highly-pressurised control room to the crews on the streets. Ambulance provides an honest 360-degree snapshot of the daily dilemmas and pressures."

News articals

Is the ambulance service in crisis  - bbc news artical
"It is perhaps one of the untold stories of the health service. While there has been acres of coverage of the junior doctors dispute, the rising waiting times in A&E and the money problems bedevilling the NHS, the plight of the ambulance service has slipped, by-and-large, under the radar."

"An NHS ambulance trust is to be placed in special measures after being rated inadequate by England's chief inspector of hospitals."

"A wheelie bin of rubbish was dumped on the front seats of an ambulance as medics treated a patient in the back."

Trevor Williams and Jonathan Galione - the weeping stones

with these images i like the luminescence of the the image and the colour helped to inspire me to use fluorescent resin.

Liam Wong - Tokyo after dark

i love these colours i just love them so much

Steve Axford - Fungi

"I live in the Northern Rivers area of NSW and I am retired from working as a manager and designer of large computer complexes. I now work on my photography and also restoring my land to something approaching its original native rainforest. My photographic interests cover many things including volcanoes, travel, people, wildlife and rainforests, with a particular focus on the fungi that live as part of the rainforest"

due to the limitations of Domestic 3D printer such as being small, the 3D Printer i wish to purchase is in fact one of the tiniest. It has an operating space of about 80mm x 80mm x 80mm which realistically will be closer to 70mm x 70mm x 70mm, i began to look at miniature photography and abstracting the image using a long focal point to make the image look large, but these would be similar to the environment I'm looking for to make up the scene.

Jorge Saenze - #dinodinaseries

due to the max size of the models i started to look at model photography, and how they are shot to make them look larger then life, i found Jorge Saenz's work to have a nice taste of epic and whimsy that i adore.

Konsta punkka - forest animals

recreating these images using the models would be difficult but i feel would be stunning, using the technique of miniature photography to make the models as large as life like these images

feilds and frames evidence

so fields and frames evidencing, i hate writing so i have a video up below talking about the Jamie's project and how i made the effects

for my own project it was filmed all on super 8 with small bits and found footage taken on my lumix,
however when i went to get it developed i was told by the person on the desk  "yeah we do that, its all good" wheen it was sent back i turned out that the didn't do that so i was a Little bit up the duff so i had lost all my footage so in the last 4 days i had to re shoot next to everything.

with it was the first time i wrote a proper script as well this was something completely new to me, the whole method and the how but thankfully with my adobe description i have access to adobe story so i wrote every thing up on that and taught my sell the correct devices that script writers use to write one up.

i had asked the brother in law who is basically the johnny Depp to me being Tim Burton ... basically he is my go to actor he is just lovely also him working in the pub gave me a location that meant we could film at the best times to not bother the patrons at the pub called the Cambridge hotel in Camberley. so i asked him if he wanted in way in advance and he said sure, he was even great to re shoot a lot of stuff that was lost and kept telling me, he was fine for the re shoot. i made it up to him with money.

the super 8 effect was from film riot as i had no idea what to do as i had no time to send away any more film but they had an effective overlay for use with any film to make it look with a total on how to use it in the video.

i think in reflection of both these projects i have came out with two things i should plan for next time
1- always have a back up plan and make sure you have time to implement the back up plan if everything fails
2 - get some sleep

studio shoot + avid

Okay so there was a tremendous amount of confusion with the set design and production design i said i wanted to do set design as then i could sit and design the set quite happily and use illistrator to make it look professional and quite nice. i was unware of props list and things like that though i did start one

so i looked at all sorts of source material that was similar to the look the group wanted such as friends, big bang theory, two and a half men

and megan helped find a whole range of images to help provide information to which she sent me this
megans work

with this and what the rest of the group asked for i started to design the set

this was the first set design this was  created from the original idea and the use of the dolly shot so i took into consideration how the camera would move and how we could try and produce the idea of light coming though the windows however we could not build to rooms so went back to the drawing board

while green screen was still a must me and megan discussed about having a balcony and then trying to create a 3d world such as that as a matte painting in post while the room on the left was only left to try and make sense of the building being in a actual location and there would be no room there.

however that quickly confused people and green screen was no longer needed so i redrew another one.
roughly the idea before tuesday 10th nov
after tuesday 10th nov

but here is the final floor plan that everyone appears to be happy with.

i gave my ideas and opinions about things such as camera movement items and even dialogue and various other topics during group meetings

i helped build, sand down the walls, wallpaper said walls, the floors with ferez and build the door

and during filming i was on the lighting team i was the very best human c-stand

i felt that the shoot went well and proud of the set

the avid editing i thought was okay though we had no sounds to use during the edit and i felt that doing effects on avid was just over complicated though i completely forgot to take any screen shots during the edit
